Since patience and waiting for hay to dry is not one of my strongpoints I feed a lot of carmelized hay. Carmelized hay got hot enough to burn off some of the "feed value" but won't hurt them. It will turn what comes out the backside darker color. The outside of bales baled too wet will white mold but the inside of the bale was so tight that it didn't get enough oxygen to mold and carmelized.
