Subject: Figuring ration question

Ne Nebraska
So if I want to figure my ration by hand, when it comes to net energy, what number do u use? Gain, maintenance or lactation? This would be for figuring megacal in the ration.

Next, if I’m feeding equal parts of three ingredients. Say they are .67(corn), .5 (alfalfa) and .3 (poor grass). Would I be feeding a .49 megacal ration? Assuming each is same lbs of dry matter per ingredient.

Is whole corn and rolled corn .67 the number to use? Thought i saw that somewhere.
