Pens are 4’x6’. I have thought about group housing to try to make it more labor efficient but don’t know if it would be better in the long run or not. Definitely pros and cons to both systems. This works pretty well for us once we make it about 2 to 3 days everybody drinks well from buckets.
Do you clean with a pitchfork or move the panels and use a skid steer?
We have some pens made up where the stantions used to be in the old 1920's bank barn. When they need cleaning just pull a couple screws and use the skid steer. |
