| It took a couple days once we got figured out what we wanted. It was $82 bucks for two 21ft sticks of inch and a quarter pipe for the short gate, plus another $200+ for the pipe for the over head bracing, hinges, and a couple 2lb spools of .035 wire. The four other pipe gates were buried under 20 years of trash. Might put a couple rubber mats under it for a couple hundred. The headgate was $1000, and we honestly thought about not putting one in. Just an alleyway to get a halter on or breed in would work for 90% of what we want it to do. But if one guy is struggling at 3am or every 5 years the vet needs to do a C section, I think we will be glad we put it there. But for $1500 it is way heavier and better suited for us than a $4000 pre built. | |
