| I probably should have added that this setup isn’t for everybody. Our herd is notably docile. Yesterday our herdsman pushed a head back in and repositioned a front leg, then chained up and pulled a calf while the heifer was standing in the middle of one of the other pens. A lot of what this chute will serve will be AI and ET stuff that will be with cows that are used to being in a chute. I can totally see where pushing rank heifers into this might not work. | |
