10 + years ago there was a butcher next to our mill. It was mid October and we were hauling corn in, and I noticed a pile of mule deer out in the sun (around 70deg that day) turning green and covered in bees wings. They came here from somewhere out west with the hide on them. Can't imagine that turned out to be very tasty.
