ND | WItitan2 - 1/5/2019 07:55 I worked as a heavy truck mechanic and heavy equipment hauler when I was younger. I worked with some young mechanics with massive tool boxes. They were really good at polishing them. I wouldn't want them to even change oil on my truck. The 2 best mechanics I worked with had small toolboxes that you had to shake the drawers to shut them. They didn't have a lot of snap on tools. They had whatever was cheap. I never understood why you had to buy thousands of dollars worth of tools to work a job that didn't pay much better than most blue collar jobs. After a couple of years, I learned to stay off the snap on truck unless it was something I really needed.
Noticed that too, young mechanics think they have to have Snappy tools and a shiny box. |
