Slicker than a Yes album.
If you have a Mac, Time Machine is built in and very easy to use. (Both backup and recovery) Get a Solid State external (unless you want a cloud option).
Newer Windows machines have a good backup program, too. Just remember to keep your external HD in a safe place, from fire, water damage, etc.
