Try http://www.woodsmithshop.com/ on the air on IPTV twice a week they work mostly on furniture and say there are free magazines and books on their website.
In good magazine racks there are woodworking magazines too. Sometimes they give some fundamentals.
I'd try Amazon or Alibris books searching for woodworking books, should be hundreds available either place.
