West Central Minnesota
The local news media is all excited since Mn DNR issued a permit for the revised plan B. There are 54 conditions that have to be met before the project can go forward. I would have thought it would make more sense to refuse the permit until those conditions are all satisfied. Either way, there are a lot of hurdles to overcome before this project comes together. Next issue iis funding. They are now asking state of ND, Mn, Moorhead, and federal gov for even larger contributions. The local share is supposed to be funded by sales tax revenue. The problem with that is that that source of revenue has been going down the last three years instead of increasing as projected.
Is the project still going forward? Good question, we will just have to wait and see.
