Go to gym and get three good hours a week in. Try for 650 calories in that hour.
Was a runner but the joints just stayed sore so now I use a strider, lift weights, treadmill at max incline, lift weights and then an aerodyne. Then treadmill max incline until I get an hour in.
The variation is what saves my joints. Try for 150+ heart rate max and average of 135 or so.
