West Chazy, New York

I farmed in Hawaii, where it is generally year around except during the rainy season.  While it is pleasant to have nice weather all the time, it is also useful to have a down season to get maintenance done.  Winter also resets the clock on a lot of weeds and insects, as well as disease pressure.  Every place has its good and bad points, and you usually don't see them in the proper perspective until you actually experience them.
