| We have separate units. One upstairs in the attic for 3 rooms and 2 baths and the other is downstairs and it covers the main floor and down stairs areas. I like it because I only ran the upstairs unit at night and the downstairs one during the day. It seemed very efficient but the only thing I would caution against is duct work in the attic not being insulated well enough- it’s not a good place for duct work up there hot or cold.
If buying a new system I would buy a heat pump version and take a serious look at using a minisplit unit upstairs but I’m not an HVAC guy by trade. | |
