E.Central MN | I think the instructions said to drink a glass full of the Miralax/Gatorade mixture every hour. It seemed to help to refrigerate the mixture before drinking it. The first glass did most of the clean out. The rest just rinsed it again and again and again. I had several flavors of "Sparkling Ice" water to rinse my mouth out after drinking the Gatorade. It contained electrolytes like the Gatorade so I felt better than the first time when I just drank plain water. They also had a little bottle of clear stuff that I had to drink two hours before the colonoscopy, maybe it was clear lubricating oil with a mint taste. Other than setting aside the time to drink the Miralax solution the night before and arranging a ride home after the exam, there's not much to it. Worrying about it is worse than just doing it. | |
