Subject: RE: 2018 cattle pictures

central mn
My grandpa milked up in til 1991 so been awhile. We do have a shed that we calve in when weather is nasty and put heifers in individual pens to get used to there calves. Most of the older cows are good mothers and take care of the calves so alot of them are born outside. Some of the pictures are from the late April storms so weather was warmer just lots of snow.

Not easy to see in pictures but the top rail is welded to the top of the posts all the way around. Everything is capped to hopefully help them last longer. This is the first I ve used pipe and I have to say I really like it. I used three and half semi loads.

One thing I want to do is cover the scrape lane and the feed lane, not sure how to go about it as the scrape lane is 20 ft wide and a 16 ft feed pad on the outside of the fence, it is 385 feet long so that would be alot of roof! I also have 12 ft of scrape lane on the other side of the lot to catch all runoff, I can use this to feed in the future if needed
