Columbia City, Indiana | The book says you need 3 ground rods, but I have one on a pretty long fence and it’s hotter than a son of a gun. Book also says splices weaken it, this thing is spliced in a hundred places and still very hot. Whatever brand of charger TSC sells.
To the OP, you have a short somewhere, have to check every single post and insulator, and if you don’t find it that means something is touching your fence and grounding it out. One time I looked and looked for a few days, finally found where an old piece of wire I missed when we rolled up the old fence was touching the bottom wire. Found it from checking every post and heard it snapping a few feet away.
