Did you make an enclosed area for your float and valve? If so how did you do that?
I've tried a couple different ideas.
Started with a lid made out of 2x8s and 2" styrofoam but they would only last 4-6 years between the wood being wet all the time and cattle walking on it.
Been making them now just out of tires and having much better luck. On a 37.00R57 fo example I use a 20.8R38 then a 11R24.5 truck tire. Then just a piece of plywood and styrofoam for a lid inside the 11R24.5 tire.
