yea needs to be above what ever is going thru. The only thing i see wrong with it is more prone to lightning strike or so I am told. I guess if one is designing a system underground would be the way to go. problem is expansion or moving wires or taking out wires kinda makes things different. one of my favorite replies I say is the only concrete decision here is no concrete decision. Case in point the pic of the one wire feeding, that is part of a 40 acre deal Jim Gerrish, Nemo rancher and I layed out over 30 years ago. And it has been changes a bit
