Beresford, SD | Bedding does pull back intakes some, not a biggie when growing calves. Big concern when on finisher. 8% inclusion rate of liquid QLF is a lot???? Could you get by with a 3% inclusion rate of QLF Nutrabeef 50 and add a pound of SBM or 1.5# of DDG's and cheapen it up? Maybe not IDK.
Ration for my 600# ave. steer and heifer calves.
Midwest PMS 50 pro. 3%
Dry rolled corn. 14%
Corn silage. 30%
Dry ground alfalfa. 13%
Oatlage. 20%
Triticale silage. 20%
Delivered 36.9 pounds/head today, (ration is close to 50% DM) Had a little left this am because I bedded them a lot the last two days after the storm.
I also enjoy reading/studying others rations, our DM intakes/ head are very close, but you have more energy......is good because your cattle are heavier. Good luck!
