For really good house pressure ,especially if it's a two story house . Three quarter pipe should be used all the way to the last to fixtures. There you can install a 3/4 by 1/2 x1/2 tee to the end... The hot water tank should always be fed by 3/4. I would also get rid of the galvanized pipe while I was doing it.. If it hasn't caused you problems yet it will. If your pump is a good submersible you can raise pressure to 40/60
