| Donated items get auctioned. My parents church did 30k one year.
Some things that show up... Each class in the school put together something. One class each kid brought a bag of candy from home and put it in a Rubbermaid tote. Dad paid $200 for that. Dad donates hogs for it, the locker donates processing for it. One hog brought $300 not including what the guy paid for processing. Two members are salesman for tractor dealerships, they usually bring toy tractors like the precision ones. The grain elevator donated 1,000 bushels of corn. One lady donated a dozen cookies a month for a year, that brought a couple hundred. Old ladies donate quilts. | |
