Wellman, Iowa		Here we run the thicker blade from shoup on a jd 7000 planter opener.

On the back, one rubber, and one 15 inch Martin wheel. We dont run a drag chain.

Have run two Martin 13 inch spikes with drags chain on previous planter and that worked good too.

Some guys around have had good luck with the Thompson style closer. With no chain.
