At around 800# I like harvesting 1500 steers. So I grow bone so to answer your question probably around May.
We started them at 2# a head for now. With Aueromycion topped dress. Also mixing in some less mineral. This will go for about 2 weeks. All the grass hay they want with 2 flakes of that bean hay .
I ended up with 2 ballers so got to get them started on ground corn.
It doesn't appear that these calves was creeped.


So do you have all calves in one big group or multiple groups? Tricky thing is for me I need a steady stream for freezer beef, but it takes a while to ramp a calf up to full feed so he can safely go on a stuffer. I need more pens I guess.
