I like electric too. Electric motors are quite reliable and low maintenance. And that way auger doesn't tie up a tractor.

Our next auger we're going to bolt or weld two pieces of tubing on the frame - then use forks on the bobcat to move it. Right now we mainly use this method; if there's two of us we might just move by hand. One neighbour does the same with his telehandler or forks on tractor.

I know it sucks starting something up just to move the auger, but we use the bobcat daily anyways. And can't really justify the expense of an integrated auger mover
