SC Wisconsin | When they are laboring to breathe i will hit them with dexamethasone, helps to open up the lungs and always seems to perk them up quick. If it sounds like fluid in there a shot of recover will dry the lungs out too but im a big fan of dex in this situation. As far as antibiotics, if they are really down hard i will give them baytril and smz for a fast response then follow up with a resflor or draxxin to give some extended coverage.
I just reread your post and most definitely hit her with 7-10 cc of dex SQ as well as the antibiotic regimen | |
