I want to load fertilizer out of my dump trailer directly into my fertilizer buggy, does anyone use a truck auger for this? I found a cheap used 10x31 Westfield with an electric motor mount with no motor. Was thinking about putting a hydraulic motor on it so I can just leave the auger anywhere in the field and use the tractors extra outlets to run the auger while the buggy is under it. Has anyone ever done this? Also, how big of a hydraulic motor do you think this would take?

Wondering about the same thing. Will a dual line wet kit run a hydraulic motor on an auger?

Yes, easily.
We have a small feed trailer (the “stinger” type) that runs all three augers off a regular two line wet kit. There’s probably close to 60’ of augers in that trailer.
