Strasburg, ND | "U.S. President Donald Trump’s Office of Management and Budget at the White House is holding up approval of the payments due to concern over the cost of the program, and wants to see if the trade issues with China get resolved, the sources said, asking not to be named because the matter had not yet been made public."
The cost? What is the cost to every US farmer for the years to come?
What about the cost for the farmer that sold soybean crop, the Sunday night after the G20 pow wow? The price spiked up $0.29 and filled his order. That same farmer was relying on the full $1.65 to make it a profitable sale. Now that farmer is me, without that extra $0.82 I am in the red. I will be loosing approximately $0.40 on every bushel I sold. I sold the last half of my soybean crop Sunday night on the open.
