East Palestine, Ohio (Columbiana Co.) | Guy i worked for drove some posts with a vibra-plate tamper mounted on a 580 backhoe. This was before mini diggers were around here, that would be way better than on a tlb. He welded an 8" ring on bottom of the plate to help keep post in place. Wouldn't take much to drive posts now "here" as wet as it is. He saw us (boss) driving guard rail posts with it after we dug thru installing waterline, and figured he could pound fence posts as well.
