Care to explain how crop insurance keeps poor people from starving? What in crop insurance puts food on the table for them. 2012 was the highest payout year of crop insurance. How did that payout increase the amount of human food available or cut the price of food?

Really......you think $7 corn, high priced wheat, and $16 soybeans with bank foreclosures reducing planted acres for the next year would have no impact on food prices? No impact on the stability of global food supply? Without crop insurance, people around the globe would have starved in 2013 due to the lack of planted acres. Quick path to WW3 when you have food instability. Crop insurance saved people’s butts back then, it hasn’t paid much since. It’s cheap domestic and foreign policy insurance
