I have an 854. Been very good to me. Yes, with good mechanical skills you will be fine. Biggest downfall to an 854 is ride IMO. If your fields are square you could easily spray 2200 acres in three days. We did 1150 last year in one day at 8 gpa but we were really humping hard, lots of road time in between. For those acres I wouldn't rule out a pull type. I spray about 12K acres with mine each year.
