Successful operation; yes. I would say those farms with a working spouse at the FSA are better off. Not so much from "insider information" but the 2nd income that it provides ( pay check, medical & dental insurance, etc.). You have to admit that it is a good job to have; no college degree required, holidays & weekends off, regular business/working hours, retirement plan, and probably in the higher range of paychecks for the area.
When you look at it in that respect, what operation does not benefit from a 2nd income. |
