Subject: RE: Grain leg freezing/ caking up

east central iowa
In 09 we had same problem. One night in Dec we froze up a 70' leg dumping hot at like 140 degrees. Didn't get it going till spring. Had to take a garden hose up to the top and put a power washer on the bottom. Helped to pull it by hand for a long time. Eventually got it going. Bought a new dryer that can do heat and cool if needed. I like to dump at 110 degrees now if possible . No easy answers other than dry slower at lower temp.
