The supply of dumbasses with the kind of credit dumbasses typically have, that are willing to pay double digit interest rates because they don't know any better, is so much larger than it used to be. If you walk in there capable of buying a car with cash, that shows the salesman you're smart and responsible. In other words, he's not going to be able to screw you over. It's hard to make money selling products at a fair price to intelligent consumers. It's easy to make a killing selling to idiots who are only concerned with the monthly payment, not the end total. | |
