Subject: RE: Pressure Hitch Control on MF Tractors

People around here including me hated them because the position lever was reversed when equipped with pressure control. In other words you lowered the position control lever and the 3 point would raise, raise the lever and the 3 point would lower. Exactly backwards from any other tractor including Massey's without pressure control. My father bought a 175 new with pressure control and it was awkward to control scraper blade or box blade. Finally after about 20 years I found another top cover from a donor and eliminated the pressure control. Now the tractor is so much more handy to use instead of cussing it all day. The concept of pressure control did work to transfer weight of a trailer style implement to the tractor for better traction but the genius at Massey who reversed the position quadrant should have permanent reservations at an insane assylum.
