I would suspect something to do with that + wire running down the top of the battery on the left in the bottom picture. Charred stuff seems to follow it down the top of the battery. Maybe shorted out where it goes through the hold down,.
You replied about the same time. Didn’t see your post when I clicked on. We both saw the same thing.
