The difference between RV proplyene glycol and heating propylene glycol is the purity. The more expensive stuff is more pure. The color of it is only an indication of its purity, not additives. Go with the more expensive stuff because the impurities could eventually cause a fault in the system. Ethylene glycol is not used because it is toxic.
