Which is exactly what I've been doing.  Prying a bit several times yesterday and a couple today.  Don't think I've gained anything yet...

The "engage the clutch" idea doesn't work because yeah, it freewheels in the proper direction and yes, I'm trying to go easy on that little thing. 

I had already decided I'd be best off to remove it like others have said if it didn't free up this week... 

All good and yes, I can fix it... Which is why I bought the tractor in the first place.. Because it has a phony start and I wanted one to add to the herd. Thanks guys...
