Subject: RE: storing grain for landlord with share crop lease

On my crop share contract my tenant delivers the entire farm crop to the elevator that splits it. I usually have contracted about half of it in the spring for October delivery. I could have done better this year but didn't. Still I'm in the black with profit on the farm. Even with the latest rises in bean prices, my spring contracts were a buck a bushel better than the price this week.

It would be ideal to have storage on my farm, but I don't and without anyone living there I fear stored crops would be stolen each winter.
