Derek, Thats not exactly a pump jack. Its a pressure pump with a piston and crank setup for shallow water wells and cisterns and holding tanks. , but its not a pumpjack. A pump jack lifts the pump rod up and down inside a well pipe that has a pump cylinder hanging down inside the well hole down at water level. A oil well uses a pump jack and a pumprod and cylinder down deep in the oilwell as well.Soem pumpjacks mounted witha pumphead spout and others were amde to double as a pressure pump for a pressure system.
