Subject: RE:When marketing becomes nothing more than geopolitics.

The price of soybeans doesn't depend on the weather in Brazil or even the weather in Indiana anymore. It literally depends on geopolitics. Meng Wanzhou is being held in jail in Canada, facing extradition to the US accused of Iranian sanctions breaking. And the Chinese haven't yet bought one soybean. A few days ago, judging from the lack of news in the Chinese press, China was going to let this ride. But over the weekend, there are more frequent and much more strident articles in the Chinese press. I guess the Chinese government was waiting to figure out how they wanted to play this. At first they seemed a little ambivalent as to whether a rich Communist party princess who got caught deserved any sympathy but the Chinese propaganda machine is starting to get wound up in high gear, aka Fox New China style. There is some indication that they are starting to sell this as trump administration hostage taking because trump lost the latest trade round. The Chinese public is/will become sympathetic to Meng Wanzhou. complain less about the economic situation and more willing to resist American hegemony. That takes some of the pressure off the government and makes them less inclined to make a deal.
But the amazing thing about all this is, we aren't the natural enemies of the Iranians. Because of oil, we became the de facto protectors of the Saudis (arabs) who are the bitter ancient religious enemies of the Iranians (Persians). Essentially we have been sucked into a religious war between two Muslim sects, neither of whom are particularly admirable. It's a classic case of the tail wagging the dog. What's worse, it's been revealed that a senior trump administration official, Jared Kushner has been actively helping the bloodthirsty Saudi crown prince minimize his murders, and manage his intrigues against our other allies that endanger our own troops in the region. The White House has become Riyadh West, partly because the Saudis booked a whole bunch of trump hotel rooms in Washington.
Ironically, it shouldn't escape our notice that if we got out from between the Saudis and Persians, the price of oil very well might go up and not only would US oil become valuable and our own oil industry do a lot better but the price of alternative fuels like ethanol would rise as well, which in turn would make corn more valuable too.
And the whole reason for the Iranian sanctions would disappear as would the Meng Wanzhou case.

You leftists want to talk about the Saudis taking out the trash but you don't care about all the people you killed in Benghazi, or Seth rich and all the other people the clintons killed. You are delusional.

You don't care about Obama and Clinton selling our uranium to Russia for personal profit either. There's the real Russia collusion story

When Obama sent billions in cash to the terrorists, no big deal right.

Have some more commie kool aid. Communism will work as soon as it is done correctly, right?
