North Liberty and South Bend, Indiana
Bar length is nearly useless info. You need to know the number of drive links, the pitch (0.325, 3/8, 3/8 lo pro, etc) and the gauge of the driver (0.043, 0.050, 0.063, etc).

With all that said, most box store saws and chains will be sold in an easy to identify way. Usually just need to know saw brand, model number, and bar length.
