Subject: Remotely Monitoring House Temperature

Finger Lakes

What is the least expensive way to monitor our weekend home's temperature? The house doesn't have a landline. If I add another line to my cell phone account, what would be the least expensive option to monitor the house? I don't want to use a ton of data doing it. TIA
