Subject: RE: Lucky?

Is having bins being "lucky"?

Or, Was it "luck" to make the executive decision to hold soybeans back from selling during the gut slot of harvest when high supplies exceeded demand and "wait for some of the smoke to clear"?

Most, but not all falls, there is a period of time where short term ability (bins) enables the bin user to "earn" a part of the wide, harvest basis back. Not always, but often.... 2012 and 2013 were exceptions here....

If bins are lucky, then you better call that scrapper back and cancel your destruction order. Your bins are worth more... carlson would have saved those "dumping fees" and maybe 20-25 cent short term (60 day) storage rates at his local elevator.

You might have to pay a few $$$ to the scrapper to weasel out of the deal though.
