| Once you're done boiling the product, you get wort. That wort has an original gravity, which is a measurement you take the essentially calculates the amount of sugar (I believe).
You pitch the yeast, the yeast eats the sugars and create alcohol. After fermentation is done, you take a final gravity reading, do some math between the original gravity and final gravity, and you get your ABV (alcohol by volume).
We just kegged 3 beers last night. Need to brew again, fermentors are empty :( | |
