Sanilac Co. Michigan | That's really the other thing that discourages me from growing corn. Even a middling crop of corn needs a lot of transportation and infrastructure to handle. A one man show with 40 acres of corn ten miles from the bin might take as long or longer to get out of the field as it did to thresh it.
Probably just me, but I always kind of figured the best way to move corn off the farm was on four legs, you know, turn it into meat, milk or eggs. Could be wrong though. | |
