My customers used to have them. I think they worked ok..... but most of them have went to a vertical beater style, or even a horizontal fin style to get a better spread.
For grow out litter, I think they were shooting for about 2 tons/acre. At that rate you can not even tell from the road you are spreading....except for the stink!
