Ludington/Manistee MI area

Nick 121

Going from a Allis to a Deere is in some respects a very subtle move. My 8760 reminds me a lot of my 8030. Neighbors 7400 even reminds me of a 80X0 Allis.

Disadvantages to a 8870 cab sits low, cab is squatty (if I jack the seat up high enough to be comfortable I’m looking at the headliner), lacks the tranny brake to hold it still(takes two feet instead one to load a truck with the cart), drops more gears than a Allis power shift if you put the clutch in, Allis has better blower controls, lacks a built in park, headlight-flasher controls leave a lot to be desired, better PTO brake in the Allis, overall better visibility with the Allis.
