| Or it’s so the packer can say they source all their product from BQA certified producers when the animal rights crowd gets wound up about something. I’ve never heard of anyone getting fined for anything, they just won’t buy your livestock if you don’t play by their rules. As far as I know you can still raise them and sell them privately without it. If you want the packer to buy them though you gotta play by their rules. I don’t think it is at all about placing the blame on you, it’s to cover both your rearends when someone starts making accusations. | |
