Subject: RE: Trimble Field IQ Rate control setup Question

Southeast IN
The Ag Leader system and sprayer you describe is the way I have the 4700 set up now. I am currently running 5 "factory"sections. The issue I am having is killing all of my waterways. Most "flatlanders" spray around their waterways then manually turn the boom on and off as they cross. This is extemely difficult in my hilly terrain trying to control a 60 or 90 ft boom from hitting the ground and judge where the edge of the waterway is all at the same time. I set the 6500 sprayer boom up with 12 sections and it worked reasonably well when I crossed the waterway. My current 90 ft boom has a 25 ft section. The waterways are designed very narrow for the hilly terrain by NRCS. The 25 ft section does not even turn off if you cross at a 45 degree angle. I am hoping to come up with a way to have at least 12 sections but preferably 18.
