Subject: Trying to "crack" an old Inex Console

Leica left north america a few years back and their support is almost gone, but I still use their stuff and it works. Recently I picked up an Inex display that can take over the functions of a mojortk console. Unfortunately my inex doesn't have the right key installed to make it work with the mojortk console. It's a windows XP device and I can shell out to the directories and drives (2), run windows explorer and the registry editor.

At one time someone at Leica/mojortk had a key generator that used the serial number and a cfid number to generate the key. I was hoping the current support company would have an old windows xp computer laying in a closet that would have the keygen software, but they didn't. They had been told the inex has zero support by leica so I don't think they have anything.

I know there are key generators for about every pricy software package out there (I remember adobe software being a popular target of the keygen people). Is there a generic way in xp to figure out what my inex software is looking for to unlock features?

thanks
